GreenGenUK were selected to supply and install a 90kW Wood Pellet Biomass Boiler to The New Agricultural and Land-Based Skills and Technology Centre at Duchy College, Stoke Climsland.
Working for the main mechanical contractor, EIC, GreenGenUK designed, supplied and installed a 90kW Hargassner Wood Pellet boiler, complete with auger feed and 1500l Accumulator Tank.
The Biomass system helped achieve the correct BREEAM Level for the new build and removed the requirement for an Oil or LPG based Heating system.
The Biomass heating system provides heating and hot water to both aspects of the project. This involves the renovation of an historic grade two listed two-storey barn and the creation of a new building, built from steel and timber. Both will form the base for the college’s partnerships with major machinery manufacturers and local, national and international land-based students.
